“You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.”
Revelation 4:11
At CrossBridge, we believe that worship is at the heart of our identity as followers of Jesus. Worship, rather than a means to emphasize our human preferences or desires, reminds us that we are not at the center of life–God is. As we worship together, we believe that the boundaries between heaven and earth collapse and we enter into the glorious praise of all created creatures in the astonishing presence of God. In addition, in the holy experience of worship, we proclaim that God alone is sovereign, and that this world belongs to the crucified-but-risen Christ. This connection undergirds our worship, whether collective or individual, child or adult.
SUNDAY MORNING WORSHIP
We share a rich heritage of four-part, a cappella singing, while also embracing the musical gifts of instrumental worship . On the typical Sunday, our praise team, LifeSong, leads us in a variety of songs and hymns, both new and old. We are passionate about worshipping God through his gift of music as we give praise and glory to him. Everyone is invited to join in the song!
WEDNESDAY WORSHIP
On Wednesdays we offer a singing class led by Zach Brantley. We also occasionally gather as a whole church to join in worship. We embrace and encourage the worship of God in a variety of musical expressions at Crossbridge.
LIFE SONG TEAM
LifeSong is our praise team who leads us in worship each Sunday. As part of our worshipping heritage, we enjoy the opportunity to lead our church in a variety of arrangements and teach new songs. On Wednesdays we offer a singing class which provides a great opportunity for new singers to practice with us and get involved.
Serving In Worship
LifeSong is the worship ministry of CrossBridge. LifeSong’s purpose is to lead the Lord’s people in glorifying God (Romans 15:11), edifying the family of believers (Hebrews 2:12), and evangelizing nonbelievers who come into our presence (1 Corinthians 14:24-25). Almost no better opportunity exists to make a positive statement for Christ and for His church than in our main worship assemblies. All activities are geared to encourage the active participation of every worshipper in truth and in spirit (1 Corinthians 14:15).
As LifeSong, we lead worshipers into the presence of God to encounter His manifest presence, lift Him up in praise, and be forever changed by the experience of His nearness. Beyond a mere fulfillment of a command, we engage and enjoy our worship as a sacramental encounter with God. God is present and active in our worship: receiving the glory and honor due him, encouraging and edifying the gathered body of believers, and empowering his church for his continued mission in the world.
